From Canvas to Cake: Lights On, Art Up, Let’s Celebrate!

Can you believe we’re already a third of the way through the year? It’s flying by—but not without some incredible moments. This past month was a whirlwind in the best way, packed with creativity, connection, and career milestones I can't wait to share with you.

If you follow along on Instagram, you probably saw that I was part of a Female Art Night in downtown LA last week—and what a show it was! The energy, the people, the sheer volume of talent in one space... it was electric. I ended the month on such a high note, surrounded by collectors, fellow artists, and so many wonderful humans who just get the magic of art.

Let me paint the scene for you (pun fully intended): The lights beamed through giant glass gallery windows, music flowed from a live DJ keeping the vibe upbeat, and a crowd formed even before the doors opened. Inside, the space buzzed with energy. Each artist, myself included, dressed to the nines and ready to share their heart through canvas. At one point the gallery was so packed, people had to squeeze past each other, pausing to point, admire, and talk about the work on display. It was beautiful chaos.

That night, I tried to let people take in my art organically—no pressure, no explanations unless they asked. And the feedback? It still gives me chills. Words like cinematic, emotional, vibrant—all coming from complete strangers. That kind of recognition hits different when you've poured your soul into every brushstroke.

I prepped so hard for the show—writing signage, wiring canvases, perfecting edges, practicing my artist bio, and mentally rehearsing how to answer those deep-dive questions about my creative process. The nerves didn’t really kick in until the day before, but I kept telling myself: You’re prepared. Let the art speak. Just enjoy the moment.

The day of the show, setup wasn’t until late afternoon, which gave me time to reflect. I took it slow—did my hair and makeup with care, packed each piece like precious cargo, and checked in with myself to soak up the gratitude that is this life. I reminded myself that this is exactly what I want more of this year: to show up, be seen, and share my work in real spaces with real people.

And I wasn’t alone. I had my friends and, most importantly, my husband by my side that night. He celebrates every win with me (even the tiny ones), always asks for a personal art show when I finish a new series, and reminds me every day that I’ve got this. Sharing that experience with my people made it all the more special.

So... what’s next?

Right now, I’m putting the final touches on the last canvas of my floral still life collection. These pieces feel so me—abstract backgrounds layered with texture, and florals that practically leap off the canvas with detail and movement.

I’m thrilled to say the collection drops May 1st, and I’ll be sharing sneak peeks all next week on Instagram. Keep an eye out!

Behind the scenes, I’ve been applying to galleries like it’s a full-time job—because, well, it is. I’ve reached out to over 100 galleries across the country. Some rejections, some opportunities, and plenty of kind encouragement. Each “no” gets me one step closer to my “yes.” I’m in it for the long haul, and I will find my people.

And speaking of finding my people… I did! I’m officially represented by Five 3 Gallery in Laguna Beach, CA! I’m now live on their website, and they’ve been amazing—thoughtful, collaborative, and genuinely excited about my work. I’ll be working with them for at least the next 12 months, and I can't wait to see where this partnership leads. Check out my page with them here!

Oh, and because I can’t help but pile on the good vibes: it’s my birthday next week! I’m turning 33 and feeling so ready for what this year has in store. I’ll be celebrating with a hike through the California mountains, baking a beautiful dessert (of course), and catching a golden sunset—because if this year’s about anything, it’s about soaking up all the beauty I can.

Thanks for being here, for reading, for cheering me on. Let’s keep the momentum going!

xoxo,

Peach
