Kassondra (nickname Peach) is an artist whose journey and expression is deeply rooted in the vibrant tapestry of life experiences. Growing up in the Midwest, she discovered a love for art pretty young, using creativity as a way to enjoy school and took as many art classes as she could. Despite societal expectations and family concerns about the practicality of an art career, Kassondra pursued a degree in Studio Art alongside a career in Hospitality. She found fulfillment in planning special events for others but continued to yearn for the freedom of working independently at something she was passionate about.

The turning point in her career came during the pandemic in 2021, which prompted Kassondra to fully embrace painting as a means of authentic expression. This period of introspection and exploration allowed her to reconnect with a passion that had always been present but not practical. With newfound confidence, she began to share her work more openly, merging emotions and experiences into vibrant pieces that reflect a love for nature and adventure.

Kassondra’s style — transitional abstract realism — captures the essence of her world travels, evoking the beauty of the natural world through a unique process that blends inks, pastels, acrylics, and oils. Trading the Midwest for the West Coast, she now lives in California with her husband and animals. As a full-time artist, Kassondra works in a studio bathed in sunlight, surrounded by her canvases where she continues to push the boundaries life gives her. By being open to the vulnerability that comes with being an artist, her art aims to inspire others to live life to the fullest, to seek out adventure, and to push the boundaries of their everyday routines. She envisions a future where she can travel the world, chasing sunsets and painting inspirations drawn from diverse cultures and landscapes all over.
